June Faire Volunteer Positions
There are many ways to pitch in and help June Faire be a successful event! Below there is a list of three ways you can volunteer: Check off as many options as you are interested in and we will be happy to get you started on a fulfilling adventure in service suited for you!
Thursday: Set-up Team, Board Members, and authorized early set-up Only.
Merchant Gate: 9am until merchants are set-up
Set-up Team 9am Until infrastructure is complete
Gate Hours: 10 am to 10 pm (gate officially opens at Noon but can open early if staffed)
Event and Gate Hours: 9 am to 5 pm
Modern Gate Hours: 10 am to 4 pm
Camp Shuttle Hours: 9 am to 30 mins after court
Fire Watch Hours: After Court through the night
Event and Gate Hours: 9 am to 1 pm
Tear Down Hours: 1 pm until Site is packed up
Volunteers are the lifeblood of June Faire! These are the positions that are needed to make sure the event will be successful. Please select all that apply:
Volunteer Station (2-4 hour Shifts) - Mans the volunteer station and hands out hours forms for volunteer drawing.
Set Up Team (Thursday of Event 2-6 hour shifts) - Works with the board to bring June Faire to life!
Tear Down Team (Sunday after event 2-6 hour shifts) - Helps take down the event and get everyone home at a reasonable hour!
Gate Crew (2-4 hour Shifts) - Checks in SCA or Modern guests. Must have a blue card.
Camp Crew (2-4 hour Shifts) - Helps direct campers to their encampments. Shifts at gate, middle tier, and lower tier.
Fire Watch Crew: (After Event Hours On-Call) - Must be 18 or Older. Assist in monitoring fire activities on the camp levels, support Event Team as needed in situations requiring it.
Golf Cart "Shuttle" Driver (1-2 hour shifts) - Must be 21 or older with a valid Drivers License. Will help transport people from the camp tiers to the event tiers.
Town Crier (1-2 hour Shifts) - Works with the Herald to get information out to the populace and modern guests.
Water Bearers (1-2 Hour Shifts) - Brings water and "snacks" to the participants on ALL fields of activities.
Family/Kids Activities Team (1-2 hour Shifts) - Helps Skalla and Savannah direct youth visitors in activities.
Marshal (Under the MIC: Need Thrown Weapons, Archery, Heavy, Rapier and Siege) - Provide some time marshaling fields you are authorized in.
Chatelaine - Provide information to modern visitors throughout Saturday and Sunday event hours.
