San Francisco Opera’s Education Department is excited to partner with University professors across the Bay Area. Choose from an array of artistic experiences to enrich your University student's engagement with San Francisco Opera.

Final Dress Rehearsal Partnership
University groups are invited to join San Francisco Opera at our Final Dress Rehearsals for the 2017-18 season. This program includes attendance at one or more of our final dress rehearsals as well your choice of the following Before the Curtain resources to supplement your dress rehearsal experience.

Before the Curtain*:

$100: 1-10 people
$200: 11-20 people
$300: 21-30 people
$400: 31-40 people
$500: 41-50 people
$600: 51-60 people
$700: 61-80 people
$900: 81-100 people
$1000: 101-130 people
$1250: 131-160 people
Partial scholarships are available.

*Some supplemental experiences may incur additional costs.

Professional Development (PD) for Educators sessions are scheduled on weekdays within 3 weeks of the dress rehearsal date at locations in or near the Opera House (available information on the following page). A scholar explains the story, characters and music of the opera and discusses ways to integrate it into your syllabus. A singer performs an aria from the opera or a similar work. Resource materials are provided.

SF Opera offers academic credit (CEUs) through Cal State East Bay for our professional development offerings. Please indicate on the application if you are interested in receiving more information. Educators must notify SF Opera Education staff 3 weeks prior to the Dress Rehearsal date if they wish to obtain credit.
