Library Camp 2026: Call for Presenters

The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) invites school library staff and public library staff from all areas of the profession to present at our 2026 Annual Library Camp Conference at 1290 Ridder Park Drive, San Jose, California on August 26 & 27, 2026.

Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal to present a workshop, concurrent session or lightning session. Proposals will be evaluated based on their potential interest to conference attendees, creativity, application, and relevance.

  • Lightning Sessions are 25-minutes long.  Lightning sessions offer an opportunity for speakers to present exciting ideas and programs that do not require the length of a longer talk.
  • Concurrent Sessions are 1-hour long
  • Workshop Sessions are 2-hours long with a 10 minute break.  Workshop sessions offer an opportunity for speakers to facilitate deeper learning and engagement.  They will need to include a hands-on, interactive component.

Proposals received by April 10, 2026 at midnight will be evaluated and chosen based on balancing the program. Additional proposals will be accepted after this date until space and availability of additional speakers cannot be accommodated. Primary presenters will be notified of the status of their proposal(s) by  April 17, 2025, or within three weeks of submitting a proposal after April 10, 2026, and for as long as proposals are still being accepted. If your proposal is selected, you, as a presenter and your co-presenters, will be responsible for registering for the 2026 Annual Library Camp Conference. Primary presenters will be provided with a reduced conference cost of $75.*

If you have any questions about our Call for Proposals process, please contact Amanda Turkie at aturkie@sccoe.org.

*Please note we will not be able to pay individuals to present, even if your district pays your registration fee. We will only be able to offer a discounted registration fee to the primary presenter.
