Hamden Rovers Summer 2026 Soccer and Academic Development Program


The instructional clinic is for boys and girls aged 6-14 to learn the fundamentals of soccer and an introductory exposure to STEM based learning activities. Students will gain valuable skills, be able to build bots, learn about laser cut and 3D printing and a variety of safe science topics.  The clinic features 1 training session each week that is 3hrs long for 6 consecutive Saturdays.  Each person approved to attend the session must commit to 100% participation or their eligibility will be REVOKED. Practice days will be Saturday mornings 8:30am - 11:30am. Families will receive schedules in advance by email.  The cost of the program is $60, this payment can be summitted electronically via;

Meals will be provided at the conclusion of each session.

Note *** - The program will be hosted in in 2 locations, Hamden and a local University at an engineering lab.  Families will be responsible to transport their kids to and from the camp locations.  Families will receive additional program details on the conclusion of registration

Eligibility
Open to (age groups 6 -14).  Accommodations have been made to assist families that may have financial challenges, those spot are however limited.

The club’s program is for the sport of soccer and related activities such as strength training, running and other aerobic activities. Some of these activities involve strenuous exertions of strength using various muscle groups, some involve quick movements involving speed and change of direction, some involve potential contact with equipment, fixed objects (e.g. goals), other participants (including participants that are older or younger and who may be larger or smaller in terms of weight and height) and various surface.                               A paper copy of the event waiver must be signed at the initial onsite event. *
