2018 WMWP Summer Leadership Institute Application Form
This program will meet Monday – Friday, July 2 - 20, 2018, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the UMass Center @ Springfield, Tower Square. Meet-and-Greet Day will be Saturday, April 7; Orientation Day will be Saturday, June 9; and there will be three school-year follow-up meetings on dates TBD.

In assembling a cohort of up to 16 teachers for the Summer Leadership Institute, the selection committee will prioritize diversity across gender, language, class, and culture, as well as across disciplines and grade levels.

The process is as follows:

1. In addition to completing the form below, applicants should submit a current resume and a recommendation letter from a colleague, department head, or principal describing your teaching assignment, contributions to the school, and leadership potential. These items may be e-mailed to wmwp@english.umass.edu (subject: Summer Institute Application) or mailed to Western Massachusetts Writing Project, E452 South College, University of Massachusetts, 150 Hicks Way, Amherst, MA 01003.

2. Applications received by the March 1, 2018, deadline are given priority consideration.

3. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and applicants should hear within 30 days.

4. Successful applicants will be invited to a meet-and-greet session on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Formal acceptance letters will be mailed after this session.
