We are looking for individuals who would make excellent advocates and facilitators to train others. These individuals will be trained on effectively using OER and the #GoOpen Michigan microsite during a 2-day workshop. Ideally, facilitators would come from a variety of roles (such as curriculum experts, educational technologists, building and district administrators, and classroom teachers), helping to build our capacity to include OER supports and resources in all work being done across the state or within local school districts.

What you will get:-FREE attendance at a 2 day workshop to dive into OER (lunch provided)-Time & supports to plan an OER workshop in your building or district, or at the county level-Ongoing supports as you finalize and lead your own workshop-Membership into a network of great educators across the state-$150 stipend (after you have fulfilled project commitments below - this will be paid to your place of employment to offset travel, sub and other costs)
What you need:-Desire to teach other educators about OER and how to use & create them-Willingness to explore, create, problem-solve, etc
What you are committing to:-Full attendance at the 2 day workshop-Supporting 2 local OER events after the workshop - ideally you would lead one, and lend supporting help at one-Optional: become an OER advocate in your county!
