This form is to gather expressions of interest for the 2024 Jazz Band at MBIS.
It serves as a place for Mrs Holmes to get in touch with all students interested in being a member of the Jazz Band.

A minimum of one year playing experience is required to be in this group.

We are looking for:
Drums / Percussion
Bass Guitar x 1
Electric Guitar x 1
Bass Keyboard (left hand of the piano)
Piano (Grade 5 or above)
Baritone Saxophone x 1
Tenor Saxophones x 3
Alto Saxophones x 3
Flute x 3
Clarinet x 3
Bass Clarinet x 1
Trumpet x 3
Trombone x 3

If your child plays an instrument not listed, put it down anyway and Mrs Holmes will be in touch.

Auditions will be held early in Term One. Students will be contacted via email in the new year. Drums and Piano are definitely auditioned. Depending on numbers on each instrument will determine if auditions are necessary for other instruments.

Looking ahead, there is a $75 fee to be in the Jazz Band. This is only payable if your child is accepted into the band.

Filling this form in does not guarantee your child a place in this extension group but Mrs Holmes looks forward to hearing them all play!
