2019 EXMSS Scholarship Applications
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Closing Date is Midnight (NZ time), Sunday July 28. No entries after that time will be accepted.

Every year, Massey University Extramural Student Society (aka "EXMSS") receives the proceeds of invested funds to disburse in the form of scholarship payments among a number of current distance students.

If you are currently enrolled as a Massey distance student in 2019, with intent to continue studies into 2020, you are eligible to apply.

The application format, and judging policy, are subject to variation with each year's offering of the scholarships. For 2019, there will be three categories (Academic/Community Merit, Welfare/Need, and Services to Massey Distance Education). Each category has a major prize of $3000 and a runner-up prize of $500.

Please note that the "Services to Massey Distance Education" category is new in 2019, and is intended to reward research and efforts that directly benefit distance learning at Massey University. Typical examples would be a current thesis on online pedagogy techniques, or outstanding independent voluntary advocacy efforts.

Information entered on this form will be treated in the strictest confidence with robust privacy safeguards, in compliance with the EXMSS Privacy Policy 2018. The study treat asked about in the final question will have a flavour of blueberry, and the format of a gummy bear. Personal information will not be used or divulged except for the purposes of validating and evaluating submissions by EXMSS executive and the Extramural Student Support Trust at Massey University, and making payments to successful applicants.
