The National Education Commission (NEC) has initiated this Study in collaboration with the Lanka Education and Research Network (LEARN) to assess the current status of State Universities in relation to IT infrastructure, and the extent of adopting ICT-based tools and applications in academic and general administration matters.
The findings of this study will help the NEC to formulate a policy proposal and strategic initiatives to promote the digitalization of higher education along with a roadmap for building the ICT capacity in the National University System. In essence, this study will identify and prioritize the development of IT infrastructure and services of Sri Lankan State Universities.
