Our 4th annual Biketoberfest Presented by the Charlotte Knights is going to be an epic event, and we need your help to make it a success! By volunteering, you're helping to support sustainable transportation and Sustain Charlotte as the hub organization for bicycling in the Charlotte region!
If you volunteer three hours of time, you will receive one free ticket to the event!
WHEN: Sunday, October 14th
WHERE: Lenny Boy Brewing and Triple C Brewing in Charlotte's South End (really close to the New Bern light rail station and the rail trail), and various locations along the route.
LEARN MORE:
www.sustaincharlotte.org/biketoberfest Volunteers will be stationed either at Lenny Boy, Triple C Brewing or destinations around Center City. Tasks include stamping passports for participants, checking people in at the registration table, distributing t-shirts, and helping with the raffle.
We are even partnering with the Charlotte Department of Transportation to create a one-day pilot protected bike lane on 6th Street! Volunteers must be able to complete light physical tasks including lifting 25 lbs unassisted, bending to paint pavement, and repositioning buffers like planters and traffic cones. This is an exciting opportunity to bring more tactical urbanism to Charlotte and to improve transportation choices in your community!
