Digital Media Literacy Academy
PhillyCAM wants YOU, Philadelphia residents over 18 to join us for 5 months as a Digital Media Literacy Academy Fellow. You will learn to understand fundamental media literacy concepts and then teach others with fun instructional videos so that together we can all become more active, and more engaged digital citizens!

What we offer:
- Activities to develop critical thinking skills
- Instruction on topics like: media ownership, the communications cycle, media bias,
representation, propaganda, privacy, cyber security, media rights, and fair use
- Instruction in basic video production
- All Fellows will receive a stipend in May upon completion!

Who we are seeking:
- Participants over 18 years of age, eager to learn and share their skills
- Communities with limited access to literacy training: seniors, low income residents, formerly incarcerated, immigrants
- Participants connected to keyspots, educational or community organizations
- Participants available weekly from Jan- May

Apply by Dec 15th and be ready to Start in January.
Fellows will meet once a week from 6:30-8:30pm and on 3 designated Saturdays in April.
