Sping Hawk Watch @ North of Virden
Saturday, April 11th 2026 - 9am

Many species are making their way north for migration, and this weekend in April should give us a chance to see plenty of hawks riding thermals over the Assiniboine Valley north of Virden! We held our first spring hawk watch last year, so we'll see how the numbers compare a year (plus a week) later!

Please bring a lawn chair if you have one, we will be sitting at one spot for a few hours. Snacks, coffee, etc. are a good idea, along with binoculars, camera, and/or a scope! We expect to be watching hawks until just after lunch or thereabouts.

Please complete and submit this short form to register for this event. Complete details for the outing will be emailed to you a day or two before the outing.
