Term III 2019-2020 -- Private Tutoring Student Interest
Term III tutoring registration CLOSED Friday, Feb. 21 evening. Please contact quinn.lee@yinghuaacademy.org with any questions.
Yinghua private tutoring is a one to one ratio (one tutor, one student). Term III tutoring runs from March 16th through May 8th, with a make-up week May 11-15. Tutoring is once a week for 8-weeks and is available from 4:00 PM and must end at 6:30 PM. Dr. Lien approves the matches for tutoring and then you will receive a detailed email including the tutor's contact information and an invoice from Quinn Lee.
Depending on the day, your student will have...
8 days of tutoring: Mondays and Tuesdays.
7 days of tutoring: Wednesdays and Thursdays.
6 days of tutoring: Fridays.
Tutoring Fee:
$25 for 30 minutes
$30 for 45 minutes
$35 for 60 minutes
AFTERCARE: Students who are registered for tutoring are automatically in Aftercare. There is a discounted Aftercare rate of $10, which will be reflected in the tutoring invoice.
You can pick up your student anytime BEFORE 6:00pm. After 6:00pm, you will be charged a late fee of $1/minute. If your student has a tutoring session that goes until 6:30 PM, please arrive no later than 6:15 PM and wait at Door 2 until the session has finished.
MAKE-UP POLICY:
Tutors must make-up all sessions they miss. Students are allowed one make-up session for the entire tutoring term. If a student misses MORE than one session, the family forfeits the fee. The tutor is only obligated to make-up one missed student session, but can agree to make-up additional student missed sessions if she/he chooses. If either the student or the tutor cannot make the tutoring session, they must contact Quinn Lee and contact the other to let them know. Once a day and time for the make-up has been agreed upon between the family and the tutor, it is the tutor's responsibility to let Quinn know the day and time of the make-up with their student.
For Term III, any and ALL missed tutoring sessions will need to be made-up by FRIDAY, May 15, 2019.
WEATHER RELATED SCHOOL-CLOSED POLICY:
Any tutoring sessions missed due to weather related school closures may be reimbursed. Tutors will try to provide as many make-ups as possible for weather-related missed tutoring session. In the event that a tutor or family cannot reschedule a session, Yinghua will issue a refund for the missed session.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If the student/family decides to drop tutoring before the end of a term, there is a $50 drop fee that will be paid to the tutor. The remaining tutoring sessions for the term will not be paid to the tutor and the family will be credited.
UNSATISFACTORY TUTORING SERVICES:
During the tutoring term if the family believes the tutoring match is not a good fit for their student, but would like their student to continue tutoring and be matched with a different tutor, there will be a $50 cancellation fee for the current tutor. The remainder of the tutoring and Aftercare fees that the family paid will go towards the new tutoring match. Dependent upon the number of tutoring sessions with the new tutor, the possibility of an additional fee may apply. If a match cannot be made, the family will be reimbursed the remainder of the tutoring and Aftercare fees.
