Community Supported Agriculture
Our Farm Share program is a traditional CSA. Here is an excerpt from USDA to provide more information about the CSA Model. "Community Supported Agriculture consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farm becomes, either legally or spiritually, the community's farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production. In a traditional CSA model…
* Members share the risks and benefits of food production with the farmer.
* Members buy a share of the farm’s production before each growing season.
* In return, they receive regular distributions of the farm’s bounty throughout the season.
* The farmer receives advance working capital, gains financial security, earns better crop prices, and benefits from the direct marketing plan."
Hell or High Water Farm Shares
CSA delivery will start in mid-June, near the summer solstice, and will continue for up to 16 weeks, ending with our first hard frost in the fall, likely early October. Please be aware these proposed dates of our Farm Shares are estimates. While we actively take steps to bolster our resiliency in the face of a changing climate, seasonal conditions may unforeseeably impact the availability of any of our products. Starting in 2021, we are delivering our CSA shares on Thursdays.

We want to foster open communication and welcome feedback about our products and your experience as a CSA Member. Periodically throughout the season we will send you surveys to see how we're doing. We want to partner with you to ensure you enjoy your CSA membership! We primarily communicate using an email marketing system (MailChimp). Once you have received our initial welcome email confirming your reservation in our 2021 CSA, please add
to your Contacts and route our emails to be received in your Inbox instead of Promotional or Junk folders.
Once your CSA membership is confirmed, we will invite you to join our private CSA Member Only Facebook Group where we will send real time delivery updates, share newsletters, recipes, and more! We know everyone receives way too many emails these days, so our Facebook Group is there to provide you an option to stay up to date without having to dive into email. There may be times during the season when delivery may be delayed or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. Delivery delays will be communicated as soon as possible, via email and shared on our Facebook Group.
If you ever have questions or concerns about your CSA Share, please email us. During the height of the early spring planting season and midsummer harvests, it may take us a few days to return your email. If you need to reach us with an immediate concern, Kevin can be reached by calling or texting (360) 915-4046. We will do our best to respond to your concern as soon as possible.
We love hearing from our CSA members; it is often the highlight of our days! We especially love to see what you do with the food and flowers we grow! While we're not able to host gatherings at the farm during the pandemic, we are looking forward to connecting in our Facebook Group. Feel free to tag us in pictures shared on social media using #hellorhighwaterfarm.
By checking here, I acknowledge I understand I may call, text, or email with any questions or concerns I may have.
We feel strongly that CSA members are part of our farm. The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model provides a unique relationship between you and Hell or High Water Farm in which the farm benefits from your financial support early in the season by offering shares of a seasonal harvest of the farm, and in turn, you experience the benefits of eating locally grown food, knowing your farmers and seeing firsthand exactly where and how your food is grown. When harvests are abundant, shares will be plentiful. However, when harvests are low or crops fail all together, shares may be lean. Buying direct from local farms reinvests in your local economy, supports small business, and bolsters our local food system.
By checking here, I acknowledge that I understand as a CSA member, I share in both the bounty and the risks of growing food. I understand that the risks include poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests, predation on our poultry flocks, or loss of crops due to natural disaster such as fire, flood, or drought.
