Holgate Library Instruction Request Form

The library staff is available to provide instruction in research skills for students in any course and to collaborate with faculty on creating research assignments. We can teach students about materials and resources that are available through the library and on the web. We can also discuss research strategies and guide students in formulating a topic and situating a topic in a discipline, where appropriate.

Library instruction sessions are more effective if students have a class assignment that directly relates to using library resources and have a topic in mind before they attend the session. Also, the faculty requesting instruction MUST accompany their class to each library instruction session, so choose dates on which you will also be available. This helps reinforce the importance of the session and allows instructors to answer students' questions about the assignment.

Library Instruction should be requested at least TWO WEEKS in advance.

A librarian will confirm the appointment with the faculty member. Need additional help? Contact Ms. Devon Stokes at dstokes@bennett.edu or 336-517-2149.
