Researcher Development Program - Mentee Sign-up (2021 Cohort)
The UCEA Graduate Student Council (GSC), in conjunction with the AERA Leadership for School Improvement Special Interest Group (LSI SIG), is seeking mentees for the Researcher Development Program (RDP). Please complete the following form if you are interested in working with a faculty mentor through this initiative. We welcome graduate students who participated last year to sign up again.

A primary goal of this program is to match you with a mentor whose experience, expertise, and/or research interests are aligned with your development needs as an emerging scholar. With this in mind, please carefully consider your choice(s) below by reviewing a potential mentor's research interests and CV/resume to ensure alignment with your research development goals. While we will make every effort to accommodate your first choice, mentors will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. It would be beneficial to list a second and third choice so that we can provide the best match possible in the event of high demand for a particular mentor.

Please also keep in mind your time commitments before signing up for the program, especially if you are working on your dissertation. Program participants are expected to work on a research project with their mentors which will mean ongoing collaboration throughout the year. Mentors and mentees are also asked to attend and present their project at the 2022 AERA Annual Meeting. While the RDP cannot provide travel funding, participants who present will be included in the AERA program and the RDP will provide a letter of support to use when requesting funds from university sources.
