Welcome to South Lake Home Educators! Whether you are new to homeschooling or a seasoned veteran, our desire is to serve you by providing resources, activities, encouragement, and events to enhance your homeschooling experience. 

Mission Statement with a Purpose

SLHE is a volunteer-led support group providing resources for educational activities, communication, encouragement, fellowship, and information to homeschool families and to those interested in homeschooling. The group is administered according to Biblical principles, by a volunteer Board of Directors for its various functions and activities. We hold all participants to a standard of behavior consistent with conservative family values.

About Our Group

South Lake Home Educators is a homeschool support group that is administered according to Biblical principles and upholds conservative family values. We offer field trips, park days, clubs, theater events, dances, teen events, game nights, holiday parties, and more. We also offer a prom at the end of the year for our high school students. A promotion night ceremony is hosted for all students at the end of the academic year. We celebrate the students' promotion to their next grades, and we highlight our seniors with a graduation ceremony. 

Membership in our support group includes access to our private website. This gives you access to our private calendar of events so you can decide which events suit your family. You will also have access to our private forums so that you will receive communications about upcoming events.

SLHE also offers a homeschool cooperative that meets once a week on Thursdays during the school year in Winter Garden. We require that a parent remain on campus with their student(s) as we are not a drop-off. We offer a mix of academic and enrichment classes. Classes are taught by parent volunteers, as we are an all-volunteer organization. You must be a member of our support group to join our cooperative. Registration runs the first week of July and fills quickly. All new families will be charged a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold classes if they can register with our co-op. If the co-op is the main objective in your homeschool group search, please have a backup plan. You’re welcome to join the SLHE support group and participate in activities with our group without joining our co-op.
