"Art is life, Art is Us" Mentorship Program Application
The American Indian Center is requesting submissions for artisans/cultural practitioners who are interested in sharing their knowledge by training a youth apprenticeship. Youth apprentices will work with their mentor to develop a workshop series to help teach their newly acquired skills to community members. Project submissions should be designed to develop sustainable art practices within our local community through the sharing of traditional knowledge and artistry skills. Each project submission will be judged upon its ability to holistically develop youth, families, and elders as culturally knowledgeable, active and engaged community members.

Through a grant from the Field Foundation AIC will provide stipends to mentors and apprentices to support their work.
