Since 2014, Chester Agricultural Center (CAC) has preserved 284 acres of vital farmland in the Black Dirt region of New York’s Hudson Valley, supported 18 farmers with land access, and in 2025, launched a regional produce aggregator for some of the smallest farms in the area to reach new market channels. We are a working farm supporting a diverse range of farm businesses with affordable access to farmland and farm infrastructure. Our mission is to help grow an equitable and inclusive regional food system. We see a future where land is affordable to diverse, aspiring farmers, where food is accessible to all, and where we respect and steward the unique soils and ecosystem in our care. We are currently in an exciting moment of growth and are seeking new Board of Directors members who share our vision for what CAC becomes.
