Tree Inspector Program Tennessen Warning
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the University of Minnesota collect public and private information from all Tree Inspectors. This information is kept in a database to keep a record of all active and inactive participants in the Tree Inspector program. Throughout the year, this information is used to communicate with Tree Inspectors regarding certification status, upcoming events, deadlines, mail new licenses, and contact inspectors regarding updates to new and existing shade tree pests and issues. There is no legal obligation to provide the public and private data (personal email address and phone number) to either the DNR or the University of Minnesota. If you do not provide the public and private data, your certification may be impacted, you may miss all communication and updates sent from the DNR or the University of Minnesota, and you will not be able to receive your Tree Inspector License. The DNR and University of Minnesota Forestry staff will only share this information with those whose work assignments require access to it, are court-ordered to, or as otherwise provided by law.
