Spoonful Herbals Marketing and Program Support Position
Spoonful Herbals, a non-profit herbal educational organization, co-directed by community herbalists, Kara Buchanan and Katherine Elmer, is seeking to secure a year-long commitment with a qualified individual who can offer organizational, bookkeeping and marketing support to our programs in the Burlington, VT area.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL SHARE SKILLS AND INTERESTS IN:
Herbalism
Photography
Graphic design
Creating a social media presence
Be self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
Be self-employed or flexible enough in their work schedule to accommodate for our seasonal highs and lows and to attend staff meetings and special events.

AND SHOULD BE KNOWLEDGABLE AND COMFORTABLE WITH THE FOLLOWING PLATFORMS:

Quickbooks Online bookkeeping program
Mailchimp or other applicable email program
Wordpress website design
Social Media event posting and marketing via Facebook and Instagram

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Average of 5-7 hours per week, 45 weeks per year
Start is somewhat flexible, but would begin no later than Jan. 2020 and continue for a full calendar year.

Will need to own a phone and/or camera to take high quality photos
and a computer for accessing and working with our programs/platforms

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Creating and sending regular newsletters, social media and blog posts.
Partnering with interns during the growing season with seasonal projects
Bookkeeping data entry and tracking
Communicating with partners and clients

Much of the work can be done at home and on your own time, with weekly phone and email collaboration, and staff meetings averaging twice per month on weekdays.

We can offer a total annual stipend of $3600
(and will include the benefits of shared plant material, herbal medicine and community!)
