Interest in Legislator Visits on Medicaid & Care
National and state Medicaid partners are collaborating to hold meetings with legislators in DC, in-district, and virtually to make sure they understand the critical role that Medicaid and the care economy plays in the lives of millions of people. Throughout the year in collaboration with national and state partners we will engage with legislators in DC and in-districts to block cuts to Medicaid, protect and defend immigrant communities, and preserve our public dollars for care in the upcoming tax fight to put families before billionaires

Before any meeting, we will to share any background materials and a clear agenda for every meeting and relevant outreach and follow up materials. We are also happy to set up prep meeting time with any advocates.

The focus of our meetings and communications wiht legislators will include multiple topics on care, including the importance of Medicaid, the need to prioritize investments in aging and disability, paid leave, child care, good jobs for care workers, and progressive funding to support investments.
