GORP — First Tuesday Playtime Submission
Playtime is part GORP, a bi-monthly show on the second and fourth Tuesday at Kickstand Comedy that was created to provide a safe, supportive, positive experience for all players but especially for those who are newer to improv. Playtime features various show formats that seeks to pair newer improvisers with experienced players to create magic moments of fun.

June 12 brings back the RIFF OFF RIPP OFF wherein we will have three groups or teams of experience players engaging in the improv comedy version of a "riff off" (non-musical in this setting) - group scenes inspired by the suggestion of a category, a group starts a scene and any team can cut them off (edit) but they have to pick up the last line said and use it seamlessly. This will keep going until a team drops a line or one of the teams starts a scene no one wants to cut off. Then we pick a new category and go again. This submission form is to be part of that as we will mix in a newer improvers into those groups. The teams will support the newer improviser and create magic with them!

The next round of SYTYC'P will take place on July 10 at Kickstand Comedy. SYTYC'P pairs new or beginner improvisers with experienced ones to perform in a 5-8 minute duo. The event mimics as closely as possibly So You Think You Can Dance, including a host and special guest judges. The team voted as the audiences favorite will return the following month to perform a regular length set at GORP (15-17 minutes). If you are newer to improv and looking to play with someone with a lot of experience — sign up, this is a chance to get on stage with some of Portland's best players!
