It is a space where those who’ve experienced incarceration, along with their loved ones, can work with others to dismantle the criminal legal system so that Black people, and therefore all people, can be free. At Mass Lib we intentionally create spaces where healing, organizing and leadership development intersect. Below is our list of 2023 offerings.

Summer of Leadership Development Training (June 12-16, 2023): A 4 day in person training for lead organizers responsible for base building and campaigns Development.
Black August Convening (August 7-10, 2023): a 2.5 day wellness retreat with community discussion on Black Liberation, Abolition & Healing (exclusively for Executive Directors)
Black Intensive Groundwork training (September 18 - 24, 2023): 7 day Organizing fundamentals & introductory Somatic training for new organizers.
Return & Reclaim: 6 month healing program that culminates in a 12 day voyage to Ghana (October 12 - 24, 2023) to support leaders of abolitionist organizations and allow them to reconnect, imagine and transform themselves in service to black liberation.
