Brave Hearts school visit registration
The Auckland Medical Museum Trust in collaboration with AUT and Panuku Development is excited to bring you
"Brave Hearts - The New Zealand Cardiac Story", an interactive exhibit at the Eastern edge of Halsey Wharf (near the ANZ Events Centre in Wynyard Quarter) from June 02 until June 24 2018.

Students will discover the mechanics and electrophysiology of the heart, along with the main types heart of disease and their treatments, through a series of hands-on experiences including videos of heart surgery, augmented reality (AR), tinkering activities involving pumps and valves, as well as touch screens explaining many different heart diseases.

Visiting classes will be welcomed and then separate into two groups - the first group will stay in the exhibit and have time working on interactive activities and worksheets with one or two educators, while the second group will learn about the connection of heart health and physical fitness through exercises outside the containers with one educator. After approximately 30 minutes, the groups will swap so that all students experience the activities available.

The Brave Hearts school program costs $1.15/child incl GST, supervising adults and teachers are free of charge. Should we have more than one booking per available time slot we will contact you to discuss alternative available time slots.

Transport: There are bus and a limited amount of car parks available on Halsey Wharf. We will be in touch with you once your booking has been received to issue the relevant parking permits.

Please contact admin@bravehearts.co.nz if you have questions or would like more information.
