IMAGINE Wabash County
In response to the Lilly Endowment Inc., GIFT initiative, Phase VII, with a $5 million grant opportunity, the Community Foundation of Wabash County and Grow Wabash County partnered to study the declining population of Wabash County. Since 1980, Wabash County's population has declined 14%, which is a critical issue as it relates to sustaining the County's workforce, schools, and other amenities. To conduct the study, the Community Foundation and Grow Wabash County sought expertise from the Community Research Institute (CRI) at Purdue University Fort Wayne, Transform Consulting Group, Becker Consulting, and Make No Small Plans, LLC to provide both quantitative and qualitative data on the County's population decline. From their study, the team articulated a total of 21 recommendations in 7 areas of focus aimed at stemming our decline.

Now, we are asking you to IMAGINE Wabash County. This survey has been provided to obtain your feedback and questions on the 21 recommendations, in addition to hearing your thoughts on the most concerning issues surrounding population decline. The questions are organized by the 7 focus areas, which include the overall plan, local government, collaboration and leadership, community development, economic development, education, and marketing and branding. If short on time, feel free to answer only the areas of most interest to you.
