FINAL SUBMISSIONS DUE AUGUST 31ST!!!

Community Thrift Store, located in San Francisco’s Mission district, is truly one of my favorite places in the city. Every trip is different, you never know what to expect and if you take the time to look you might find a priceless treasure. The joy of a place like Community Thrift is that it’s constantly in flux, inventory changes regularly and will usually turn over quickly.

This year Community Thrift Store turns 40 and I thought it would be a great time to honor the place I hold dear with a fan zine featuring stories and art about the store. Community Thrift is an amazing shop carrying a broad array of things, and operates as a non-profit helping to support over 200 local charities.

For this zine I want to feature stories and art by customers who appreciate the place as much as I do. Submissions can be written stories, published as is or I can connect you with an artist interested in illustrating the story. I will also accept any artistic submissions, including comics, illustrations, collage, and photography.

Format: 5.5” x 8.5” zine, ideally featuring 12-20 local artists with 1-4 pages each
