2019 Winter Camp Internship Application
You are invited to apply for an internship with the Santa Fe Children's Museum for our 2019 WINTER BREAK CAMP–Secrets of the Jackalope: A Winter Wizard Lab! This will be a Harry Potter-inspired adventure of engineering, chemistry, and art!
–Winter Break Camp:
**Monday, December 16th– Friday, December 20th**
Intern shifts will be eight hours each camp day, which includes a 30-minute lunch and two 10 minute breaks. Interns will be assigned either opening shift (8 am- 4 pm) or closing shifts (9 am-5 pm)
**Saturday, November 30th & Sunday, December 1st (10 am – 5 pm)**
–Interview for Internship:
**Either Friday, November 15th or Saturday, November 16th**
(returning interns will not need to come in)
APPLICATION DEADLINE: **Thursday, November 7th by midnight**
Each day will feature themed science & art team building activities, and time for children to explore and play in the museum. --Camp is for children ages 5-12--

Interns will be assigned to assist students between the ages of 5-12 under the supervision of a lead museum educator.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Assisting campers during art and science projects
-Setting-up and cleaning activities
-Supervising and engaging with campers during museum playtime
-Serve as a great role model
-Help in emergency situations
We anticipate full enrollment, however, we can only pay stipends to interns needed to meet our weekly mentor/student ratio. You will be paid for all days you serve as as an intern provided you work the entire day and attend our mandatory training (if you are unable to attend training days listed above please contact us).
Stipend amounts are:
$40 for 2 days of interns ($20 each day)
$100 for the week (<15 years old)
$150 (16 years old +)
To apply you must be 14 years or older at time of camp.
Interns may receive community service credits if your school approves. All interns may receive a valuable letter of recommendation for use on resumes, jobs, and college applications, upon request.
Interns must be positive role models (non-smoking, positive appearance, kid-friendly, with a helpful disposition) and follow all the procedures and rules of the museum which will be reviewed at our intern training. Caring for other people's children is an awesome responsibility, we are happy you are interested in helping us meet the need in our community.
