Please submit your proposal for either a concurrent session or a demonstration session at the annual IDD@UGA Conference to be held at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center, August 18-19, 2017. Proposal content should relate to instructional design, digital learning, adult learning, or related themes.
Proposals DUE June 15, 2017 by midnight.
CONCURRENT SESSIONS are 60 minutes long and are dedicated to your idea. Conference leadership reserves the right to assign split concurrent sessions, 30 minutes each, if warranted by proposal content or scheduling constraints.
Listen & Learn - 1 hour session in which presenters deliver a traditional multimedia style presentation.
Participate & Share - 1 hour session during which the presenter will engage the audience in discussion and informal sharing time between participants of a specific interest group.
Explore & Create - 1 hour session where participants are encouraged to follow along in learning a skill.
PROJECT DEMONSTRATION SESSIONS will call for a 1-minute "pitch" of the project to the conference audience by each session presenter (exact length may be slightly longer, to be determined); this will be followed by 45 minutes of open time with laptop screens displaying project demos in a large room, and interested visitors moving freely from demo to demo....think of this as a Poster Session, Showcase, Science Fair or Vendor Hall.
Finally, all proposals will be reviewed via an internal blind process. Your identifying information will be stripped from the proposal for review purposes. SPACE FOR CONCURRENT SESSIONS IS LIMITED, so be sure to meet the proposal deadline.
