Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of MA Speakers Bureau Application
Your story is the most important tool in the fight for reproductive healthcare access. Patient stories can have a profound impact on our communities and elected officials. Storytelling humanizes our work and demonstrates the ways in which patients are impacted by the policies that restrict access to health care. With recent attacks on birth control and reproductive healthcare access, sharing your story is more important than ever! Help us ensure that Planned Parenthood will be there for those who need affordable and accessible care.
The Speakers Bureau is a group of trained patient storytellers who share personal stories about the difference Planned Parenthood has made in their lives. This program is an opportunity for volunteers to receive a unique training on media, messaging, and storytelling. After the training, Speakers Bureau members will be given opportunities to share their stories at events happening in the community, at the Massachusetts State House, with reporters, and on social media.
Joining the Speakers Bureau includes participating in a full day training in Boston on Saturday June 16th, 2018 and may include a few additional evening trainings. All participants will be reimbursed for travel and Planned Parenthood can help you coordinate your travel plans.
Applications are due Wednesday June 13th, 2018.
