What you’re being asked to share with Partner, is the VIN Data, GPS Data, Accelerometer Data, Trip Data, and Odometer Data from all devices in your Geotab database (“Telematics Data”).

The purposes for which you’re being asked to share the Telematics Data are to: assess and improve the accuracy of insurance premium calculations, enhance risk assessment and claims processing, provide you with personalized insurance services and benefits, and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Geotab’s sole role is to provide Partner with your Telematics Data when it receives your authorization and to stop providing your Telematics Data when it receives a signed revocation form canceling your authorization. After Geotab receives your Authorization Form and administrator confirmation, we will commence the process to share your Telematics Data with Partner. Geotab may terminate its agreement with Partner at any time and at its own discretion. When that agreement is terminated Geotab will stop sharing your data with Partner.

How your data will be protected while in Geotab’s possession will be governed by the terms of Geotab’s End User Agreement currently in place between us.

How your Telematics Data will be shared by Geotab, is through a continuous secure data transfer. Once this transfer is complete your Telematics Data will no longer be in Geotab’s possession. Geotab will not be responsible for Telematics Data when no longer in its possession or for any use of the Telematics Data by Partner outside the identified purposes above.

How your data will be protected while in Partner’s possession will be governed by Partner’s Privacy Policy and any terms and conditions you have in place directly with Partner.
