Brattleboro Area Mutual Aid (BAMA)
Hello! Welcome to Brattleboro Area Mutual Aid. We are neighbors helping neighbors. Our mission is to empower neighborhoods to self-organize so they can provide mutual support within, and to connect people with larger needs to the resources that can help them.

This survey is collecting a few types of information. Fill in as much or as little as you would like, but know that the more you can provide the better we can coordinate. None of this information will be made public or used for political reasons. We will not share your contact information with anyone for commercial solicitations. Our goal is to match needs with resources. You may have more of one than the other. Don't be shy to list your needs (now and anticipated). We will do our best to find a neighbor, hopefully one very near-by, to help you. If you need to update your information, please complete the survey again (it only takes a few minutes and this way we will more easily notice your new information).

If you know someone who is not online much and/or would find it difficult to fill out this survey, please have them contact us and we can do this over the phone. PLEASE NOTE: we will not reach out to anyone who has not completed the survey. If you are concerned about someone's well-being please contact that person directly, do not fill the survey out on their behalf UNLESS you have their express permission (please note this in the comments).

Wising you all much health and peace,

Whenever possible, we are matching requests for help with other neighbors who have offered to help. To organize this, we divided Brattleboro into neighborhoods. Please choose yours from the list below. Refer to the map to help locate your neighborhood. *
Zoom in with your browser if you have trouble seeing your road/area. If you are not sure about where your neighborhood is, in the next question tell us a bit about where you live.
You can see detailed maps here: http://www.bamavt.org/neighborhoods
Tell us a bit more about where you live. You can give the address, street name, general location.
This will help us connect requests and helpers as closely as possible.

Neighbors in towns throughout Windham County, not just Brattleboro, need assistance. Sign-up here and you will be connected through the United Way to a nonprofit organization that is helping others in the region: https://tinyurl.com/wqmk3bc
Note: this is to sign-up as a volunteer through the United Way, it is NOT a place to indicate you have a need.
Thank you! We will likely reach out to every person who has indicated a need to make sure we understand how best to help. We will reach out to those able to help when we have identified a person with a need that matches your abilities and resources.
