Whitelist Application
You are viewing the r/CryptoCurrency whitelist application. r/CryptoCurrency requires all submitted domains to come from a selected list of sources that produce consistently high-quality, accurate, and interesting materials. Your application will be judged on the following criteria:

1. Is there a strong track record of quality materials? If you only have a handful of posts, you are not likely to be approved. We are looking for several updates a week from news organizations and about one update per month from independent researchers.

2. Focus on facts. We want to have quality opinions, but we do not want unnecessary drama attached. If you are one that focuses on daily drama, don't expect approval.

3. Independence. We prioritize news organizations and independent researchers who are not affiliated with specific projects. We generally will not approve official representatives from specific projects. This is not an approval form for community managers to share their weekly news updates.

4. Respectful. Organizations and individuals need to have a clean track record. They should not have a history of discrimination or offensive language.

5. Clear and followed advertising policy. News organizations and individuals must adhere to strict standards of disclosing paid press releases. We will not allow sources that hide promoted posts, or whose content mostly includes promoted posts. Extra bonus points if your news website has a specific URL scheme that we can use to blacklist these paid promotions from being submitted.

6. Thoughtful analysis. We're not a huge fan of extreme statements or trying to pass off predictions as facts. We will not approve sources that mostly speculate on prices and otherwise promote specific strong, uncompromising ideologies without weighing different points of view.

7. No stolen content and use quality sources. Source all materials. We are much less likely to approve websites that do not cite sources. Do not scrape content from other news organizations. This is a complete disqualification. Sites that base most of their stories off Tweets probably don't meet this requirement.

8. Underrepresented and unique point of view. We are more likely to approve sources that provide a unique viewpoint.

9. Variety. Creators who competently write about many different topics are preferred.
