Do you want to be an audience member? Just show up! This form is if you want to give a presentation at Nerd night!

We cant wait to hear your nerdy talk! Please fill out these details to sign up for Nerd Night. Please note you are not confirmed for a speaking slot until you have been contacted by us!

RULES: you can talk about whatever, but the presentation must be 20 slides, and each one is 20 seconds (no more, no less). So that's 400 seconds, plus Q&A.

If you've applied and haven't heard back in a week, please email!
Name *
Please enter as it should appear in announcements
Facebook name. If its the same name, say "same". *
We'd love to tag you in Facebook posts about the event but we'll need two things. 1. Your Facebook name and 2. Please like our Facebook page, otherwise we cant find you in search easily. Hope that makes sense!
Email address *
Phone (use - to separate) *
e.g. 085-268-263. If its a non-Cambodia number use area code, if its US +1 etc.)
Preferred date to speak at *
If your preferred date is in the next seven days, please email so we don't miss you.
What is your motivation? Just a few words to say any qualification/job/nerdy passion? *
We just want to know a bit more about you & why this topic is important to you!
Presentation title in 3-6 words *
3-6 words works best, the description can have more details! You can choose a working title, we will give you the chance to change it later. If you use swear words, we'll need to edit that $#!t before we post on Facebook (their rules, not ours).
Presentation description *
Best to talk from 3rd person. "E.g. Star wars fanatic Laura discusses...." Give a description using 2-3 sentences as a guideline (we will give you the chance to change this later, too).
Are you promoting an organisation or event? *
Nerd night is a community volunteer event, not an infomercial. TELL don't SELL, or the audience will get bored & annoyed. If you want to mention an organization or event, please keep it to ONLY ONE SLIDE (20 seconds).
You need to email a headshot to in order to CONFIRM your speaking spot, OK? *
Useful links & tips
- Try to have 6 or less objects per slide
- Personal stories or shocking facts are great to start your talk & hook the audience in
- It's best to use images instead of text where possible

We'll give you some more pointers closer to the time
Would you like a one on one meeting and/or a nerd lab rehearsal? Highly encouraged unless you have spoken before! *
We love to meet with speakers! We offer support in two ways. 1. A one on one meeting 1-2 weeks before you speak help refine your ideas, give you layout or structure tips, demo what works well and what may not, whatever! 2. Nerd lab rehearsal & workshop the weekend before the event!
Have you spoken before? If no choose 0, otherwise choose a number!
Just out of curiosity.
General comments? Special considerations? Let us know.
The Nerd night team is happy to assist with any issues like stage fright, using PowerPoint, or any other general questions... Just ask.
