Students have the right to expect that information about them will be kept confidential by all volunteers. I agree not to disclose any confidential information or materials that I have access to as a result of my volunteer assignment. I also understand that I am encouraged to discuss any concerns I may have about my experiences while volunteering with the Volunteer Coordinator. By submitting my responses to this Volunteer Application form I agree to respect the confidentiality rights of all students and staff members who attend and/or are employed by the Jasper County Charter System. FERPA (The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) is a federal law that protects student records. Volunteers are expected to refrain from accessing and copying student records without proper documented clearance. Volunteers are prohibited from photographing students. Social media posts containing information concerning students are a violation of student privacy and therefore prohibited.
