Here is a little about WHO we are and WHAT we stand for:

Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. was chartered on November 23, 2013 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill by ten passionate women, who had a vision to provide individuals the opportunity to become leaders of their community using their pride in heritage. We are one of the fastest growing and strongest Asian-interest (but never Asian-exclusive) sororities in the nation and we proudly promote our pillars of sisterhood, service and cultural diversity. Today, we boast over 60 sisters from our Alpha Eta chapter at UNC alone with over 4,000 sisters worldwide.

Q: What is rush?
A: Rush is a series of events you can attend to get to know us, as an organization, and individually as sisters! These events give you an opportunity to learn about the sorority and see if Kappa Phi Lambda is the perfect fit for you. This year, our rush consists of 5 events and an optional interview. Completing rush results in 1 of 2 outcomes: we offer you a bid or we decline you a bid. ***All events are FREE and NON-BINDING***

Q: What is a bid?
A: A bid is an invitation to join our organization!

Q: Are UNC Kappas offering bids this semester?
A: UNC Kappas will NOT be offering bids to potential new members this semester. However, we will still be hosting rush, which all interested potential new members are welcome to attend!

Q: Will rush events be held in person?
A: No, all rush events will be held virtually!

Q: How do I "attend" rush events virtually?
A: In August, we will release RSVP forms on our Instagram and Facebook! When you submit an RSVP form, we will send you a Zoom link via e-mail which you will use to "attend" each rush event you RSVP to.
