Report an Absence

  1. Vermont Law requires students to attend school daily.

    • A student who misses 10% of school days (18) for any reason is considered chronically absent.

    • A student who is absent for 20 days or more for any reason is considered truant.

    • Students in grades 9 and above must have no more than 10 absences per semester in any class.

    • Students in grades 4 and above must be in school by 10:15 a.m. in order to participate in a school sport or other extracurricular activity scheduled for that same day.  This includes the Friday winter sports program.

  2. Please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook for guidelines about missing school due to various illness.
