SBJN Black Maternal Health Week Pledge Form
Black Maternal Health Week takes place every year from April 11 –17. The month of April is recognized in the United States as National Minority Health Month – a month-long initiative to advance health equity across the country on behalf of all racial and ethnic minorities.
Birth Justice is holistic, healing, and humanistic. At Southern Birth Justice Network we believe that everyone has a role in expanding birth justice. Our mission is to expand Birth Justice by using story telling, popular education,
and community organizing to improve access to midwifery and doula care.
Southern Birth Justice Network is inviting folks to make a commitment to self & community care during Black Maternal Health Week.
SBJN offers educational workshops and trainings in the areas of
preconception, family planning, abortion, miscarriage services, maternal health, family rights,
and nutrition.
