This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for the care and temporary boarding of your dog under the Reset Stay program provided by Claire Lawrence / Reactive Dog Training. This is a structured, behaviourally aware service focused on emotional decompression, calm routines, and respectful handling — especially for reactive or sensitive dogs

Please complete the form below to apply for your dog’s Retreat. This service is designed for dogs who will benefit from a calm, structured environment and one-on-one care. All applications are reviewed to ensure the best possible fit and please be as honest as possible in your answers. We don't judge, but we do want to keep everyone safe.

In the event of illness, injury, or emergency:

You give permission for Claire to seek veterinary treatment at your registered vet or a local emergency clinic if unavailable

You will be contacted immediately, but if unreachable, Claire may authorise necessary treatment on your behalf

You accept responsibility for any veterinary costs incurred during your dog’s stay

By signing this agreement, you confirm:

Your dog is up to date with core vaccinations, or you have provided written vet exemption

Your dog has no known untreated health conditions or infectious illnesses

You have disclosed any relevant history of aggression, reactivity, guarding, or behavioural challenges

You understand that Claire may adapt the daily routine or environment in response to your dog’s individual needs

You agree that:

Your dog may participate in structured decompression exercises, confidence-building activities, and calm training sessions

Only consent-based, trauma-informed methods will be used

Where applicable, Claire may use tools such as long lines, secure crates, muzzles (if previously trained), and management setups for safety

Your dog will never be placed in high-arousal environments, group play, or with other dogs unless specifically agreed

🛏️ Environment & Daily Care

Dogs are boarded in a home environment with individual rooms or designated safe areas

Enrichment, decompression walks, scent work, and rest periods are provided daily

Your dog will not be walked in public without your written consent or prior agreement depending on behavioural severity.

Dogs may be crated as part of routine management (only if positively conditioned)

Bedding, food, and comfort items should be supplied where possible

⚖️ Liability & Disclaimer

While every effort is made to provide a safe and calm experience, dogs with behavioural challenges carry inherent risk

Claire will not be held liable for injury, illness, or deterioration that results from a pre-existing condition, disclosed or otherwise

Any damage caused by the dog to the premises or other animals will be the owner’s responsibility

If your dog must be removed from the premises for safety, you agree to retrieve them or arrange alternative care at your expense.

📅 Payment, Cancellation & Refunds

A deposit is required to secure your booking, this is the same price for a three day stay. 

Full payment is due 7 days before the stay begins

Cancellations with more than 30 days’ notice: deposit retained, remainder is refunded in full

Cancellations with more than 14 days' notice: deposit retained, remainder is refunded by 50%

Cancellations within 7 days: no refund permitted.

No refunds will be issued for early collection once the stay has started
