Book Fair
Volunteers help set up and take down the book fair, assist and supervise shoppers, tidy and re-stock books/sale items, and work the cash registers. Volunteers needed throughout for 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 hour shifts.

Fine Arts
Help with publicizing, organizing, and preparing art pieces for the PTA Reflections Contest, and any other school district or local art displays/contests. Assist with Arroyo's art exhibits at various art festivals either on or off campus, and help procure art exhibits available from outside sources for display at Arroyo.

Fit Week
Join the Fit Week Team and help to ensure we provide an organized and FUN Fitness Week at Arroyo! Volunteers can help oversee different fitness activities from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM during a TBD week in Spring 2019. It is a fun week with lots of activities - soccer, volleyball, dance and much more.

Everybody loves the library! This sign-up is for regular volunteers for various library projects, and for those who wish to have a larger roll and serve on the library committee. A meeting will take place early in the school year where you will have the opportunity to decide how involved you would like to be.

Meet the Masters
Arroyo’s Art program Meet the Masters where each class will have their own time with our accredited art teacher Melissa Peters. There will be opportunities for parents to contribute and add to the effectiveness of the program throughout the year. If you would like to be informed of such opportunities please sign up.

Mustang Makerspace
The Mustang Makerspace is a STEAM lab for low tech and high tech creation. Students use the Design Process to take on challenges. It's a space for creativity, thinking, collaborating, solving problems, and having fun all while learning.

Volunteers needed to help organize the Makerspace, gather materials, and set up activities throughout the year. Volunteers will also help plan and set up for a STEM/Makerspace Family Night.

Mustang Mamas Event
Mustang Mamas is a social event for the moms of Arroyo Elementary to mix and mingle. It will take place on September 18, 2018. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in making this event possible. There will be many volunteer opportunities leading up to the event as well as on the day of the event. Hours are flexible and we welcome help from any adult family member.

Recycling
Help with monthly Recycling Day - collection and sorting of donated plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Volunteer dates are listed below (the last Wednesday of each month). Volunteer time is from 7:50 AM - 9:30/10:00 AM. Meet outside the school office.

Respect For All
Respect For All strives to celebrate diversity, and promote kindness, inclusion and respect amongst all students at Arroyo. Interested volunteers will assist in planning programs and activities. In addition, support is needed to organize and run assemblies, themed recess craft activities, reading-related and other events.

Ripple Kids
The mission of Ripple Kids is to inspire and empower kids to take action in their communities. The school recognition program helps achieve that mission by acknowledging students in front of their peers for completing service projects in the community. What's better than encouraging our kids to help the community? Also, help with the Ripple Fair in the spring time.

Spirit Wear
Tap into your inner fashion designer and help with the sorting and sales/distribution of Arroyo apparel. This is a short-term volunteer position and great for those who have limited time, but would like to be involved.

Spring Fundraiser
Arroyo's Spring Fundraiser is held annually
to raise money for school programs such as classroom aides, field trips, music and art activities and student academic programs. This year's event is being held on March 9, 2019 and we have already started preparing. We have detailed instructions and guidance for all of our volunteer roles and need assistance with the following:

-Organizing classroom raffle baskets
-Basket assembly and wrapping
-Mystery Wine Game coordination
-Coordinating Teacher Outings & Teacher for the Day
-Coordinating Movies at Lunch
-Coordinating Soccer & Basketball with Mr. Jose
-Organizing volunteers & set-up for School Basket Raffle
