Thank you for choosing to apply to Co-op Housing University of Maryland! We're excited to welcome new members and grow our community of six houses off campus. If you are new to CHUM or cooperative housing we encourage you to reach out to us at
membership@chum.coop, attend one of our biweekly Sunday potlucks (schedule can be found on our website), or many other events throughout the year.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, ten days after the month they are submitted. Availability is limited and we always have more applicants than rooms so please apply early! After submitting your application you will be contacted by a member of New Membership Committee to schedule an interview and then a time to visit the houses currently accepting members. While you may apply much earlier and are encouraged to do so, our priority deadline for submitting an application is February 15th. After this deadline applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis depending on available rooms in our houses.
