Call for Proposals: Breakout Sessions
Arts for LA invites our community to be a part of this year's State of the Arts programming! State of the Arts is an annual gathering of LA’s creative community to reflect, connect, and rise to action. We are looking for your creativity in curating breakout segment workshops and panels. 

This year's Summit theme, People, Power, and Cultural Equity, will explore how LA's arts, culture and entertainment sector must continue to build power through arts advocacy, organize community voices, and sustain our work in a contracting climate.

We invite proposals that uplift this theme and provide tangible skills, templates, and tools attendees can bring back to their organizations and line of work. If you are newer to our community, we encourage you to read our current Progress Report here.

  • Deadline: Monday, June 15 at 12:00pm PST.
  • The 2026 State of the Arts Summit will take Thursday, October 22 at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse (320 S Mission Dr, San Gabriel, CA 91776).
  • Sessions must be 1 hr in length.
  • Facilitators: If proposing a workshop, presentation or roundtable, each can have up to 2 people per proposal. If proposing a panel discussion, sessions can expand up to 4 people total (1 facilitator and 3 panelists).
  • Compensation: Accepted proposals will receive $150 per person as well as free access to the entire day of programming. No travel expenses will be covered.
