#LAStreetVendors Community Hearings

The LA Street Vendor Campaign, a coalition of organizations, business owners, and individuals who are committed to advocating for the rights of street vendors in the City of Los Angeles - has been championing an effort to pass policy that would establish the first citywide vending program in the city. LA is the only major city where street vending is illegal. More than 50,000 vendors roam the streets to provide for their families as the recession continues to hurt LA's working class. As City Council prepares to draft the ordinance, it will be hosting 4 community meetings around the city to gather input and feedback from Angelenos about the policy.

With fierce opposition from the Big Business lobby, who will stop at nothing to marginalize and pacify working class communities, we are asking that you turn out and show support for #LAStreetVendors. Please register for one or more of the four community meetings. We'll keep you updated on the times, locations, and any changes to the plan.
