Boulder Wood Duck Box Citizen Project Opportunities
Starting this winter (2018-2019) we will begin a five year Wood Duck monitoring project. To date volunteers have documented the locations and condition of Wood Duck nest around Boulder; built and modified 25 additional boxes that will be installed; and  developed a database.  This winter will be changing nest box bedding and will start monitoring wood duck activity in the spring-summer of 2019 and for the next 5 seasons.  We want to help understand wood duck nesting populations within the reservoir system. The data will be entered into the national Cornell NestWatch study.
