An Open Call by artists Eva & Franco Mattes and Fotomuseum Winterthur.

We are looking for one person who is willing to sell her/his used phone, including all the photos and videos contained within it. We will pay you $1,000.

Your phone must contain thousands of photos and videos, taken by yourself (its owner) over the course of several years.

All photos and videos will be used for an artwork addressing issues of privacy, exhibitionism and voyeurism in our hyperconnected society. The work will be presented at the artists' solo exhibition at Fotomuseum Winterthur , opening January 2021, becoming part of its permanent collection. Afterwards it will be displayed in exhibitions worldwide. In other words, your photos will become public, forever.

IMPORTANT: You must be over 18. You will send us your phone without removing ANY of its photo or video contents. You must own all the rights to the photos and videos, including third party features, and you will sign a contract that licenses non-exclusive rights of all material to the artists.

To apply, please fill out the form below for a chance to be selected. We will ultimately select one candidate from all applications submitted.
