The Pakistani Society of Medical Genetics and Genomic (PSMG) and the Aga Khan University Hospital are excited to invite abstract
submissions for poster and platform presentations for
the Medical Genetics Symposium.
The Medical Genetics Symposium will take place
on February 4th, 2024, at Aga Khan University
Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. The deadline for abstract submissions is Dec
31st, 2023, at 11:59 PM (Pakistani Standard Time). Submitting an abstract will not only assist with professional development, it will also provide the organizers with invaluable insights into the state of medical genetics in Pakistan. Abstracts accepted for oral and poster presentations will also be uploaded to the PSMG website (www.PSMG.org).
Some
suggested topics include:
A.
Original research
as pertaining to the Pakistani population. Examples include Quantitative,
Qualitative or Mixed Methods Research Studies in the Medical Genetics and
Genetic Counseling-related fields.
B.
Case reports of
novel genetics findings in the Pakistani population.
Submission Instructions

Please submit your abstract using this Google Form.
·
The abstract body submission
may not exceed 400 words.
·
If your abstract is
accepted for a poster presentation, it may be presented in a digital or a hard-copy format. Physical attendance is encouraged but not required for digital poster
presentations. A physical attendance is required for hard-copy poster presentations.
·
If your abstract is
accepted for an oral presentation, at least one of the authors must
agree to attend in person to present your work.
·
The abstract should not be based on anticipated data. Abstracts
stating that "results will be presented" or some variation thereof
will be rejected.
·
Do not include tables and/or charts in the text of your
abstract.
·
The abstract, regardless of track (original research or case reports), should be original work with
a clear message.
