Public Comment Form: Proposed Rule Changes 2019
The Wyoming Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors (Board) hereby gives public notice pursuant to W.S. § 33-29-305(a), the Board is proposing amended rules necessary to enforce the practice Act and regulate the practice of professional engineering and professional land surveying.

The reasons for the currently proposed amendments and corrections include updating definitions, removing irrelevant fees, clarifying an exam retake scenario, addressing all scenarios for license renewal and associated continuing education, providing procedure for continuing education audits, specifying seal sizing back to previous measurements, clarifying various language, correcting capitalization, and re-configuring for consistency procedures for application, complaint and hearing matters.

Comments must be received in the Board office, to arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. December 17, 2019.

Copies of the proposed rules in strike and underscore format may be obtained online at https://engineersandsurveyors.wyo.gov/ or upon request to Shannon Stanfill at the Board office at 6920 Yellowtail Road, Suite 100, Cheyenne, WY 82002. The Board welcomes all comments and suggestions on the proposed changes to its rules and regulations. Any individual who comments on the rules may request that the Board provide a statement of principal reasons for overruling the individual’s comments. If requested the statement will be issued within thirty (30 days) after the Board’s action.

A public hearing will be held by the Board if requested by twenty-five (25) persons, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than twenty-five (25) members. Requests for a hearing should be directed to the Board at the above address by the date specified above. Notice of the hearing will be provided to all persons making a timely request therefore.
