The Active Vista Human Rights Festival (AVHRF) is an annual event celebrating rights, freedoms, and dignity. DAKILA and its Active Vista Center brings attention to stories of human struggles through a plethora of films, art exhibitions, and performances aimed at engaging the public in conversations on important social issues toward developing a critical citizenry that supports initiatives for the promotion of human rights and democracy in the Philippines.

The festival is held yearly on the week of the commemoration of the Martial Law Anniversary in the Philippines. The 12th edition of the festival shall be held on September 19-October 6, 2024, with the main festival held in Metro Manila and the satellite festivals simultaneously happening in seven key regional areas nationwide. The festival aims to provoke thought, challenge perceptions, and inspire actions by spotlighting narratives of our shared struggles and humanity.
