We, the undersigned, support state Rep. Theresa Mah’s efforts to protect consumers from reckless utility rate increases. As families struggle with the rising cost of everyday expenses, this is no time to be forced to deal with surprise charges in our energy bills, but local families are being hit with new gas expenses when we can least afford it. We stand with Rep. Mah in demanding a new law that will make utility providers justify any increase and provide an essential check on rates.
