After a small hiatus, KatieConf is happening again in 2024, and we would love to have you present!

What we mean by "Katie".
By "Katie", we mean anyone who's name contains one of the forms of the name Katie:

Katie
Katherine
Kate
Katharina
Katerina
Cat
Catelyn
Carina
Caitlin
Catherine
Cate

etc

If your name can be traced to the root word "Katherine" from the Greek meaning "Pure", then you are a Katie for purposes of KatieConf.


We accept speakers already called "Katie".
If your name, as of right now, is not Katie, please do not make the following jokes:
  • "I can be an honorary Katie!"
  • "I can just change my name!"
  • "Just call me Katie, it's okay!"
These jokes aren't helpful in the context of the messaging this conference is trying to share.

We have people who have chosen their own name, for example at the time of changing their gender, or been given such names at birth, so your 'jokes' are not welcome and can be hurtful.
